Turtlenecks! Or should I say Mocknecks!
I love turtlenecks with the passion of 1,000 suns. So French chic. So Bond villainesque. I could wax on like this for a while.
I don’t know why but turtlenecks add an instant (Instant!) level of sophistication that a crew or v-neck just can’t. Now I know that t-necks are more closely associated with the fall and winter months but these tops from J.Crew Factory are here to change your mind! And I mean, come on… get a load of that price tag. They would only be one dollar sign on yelp… $
This is one of those staples you need multiples in every color because I promise you they’ll be joining your wardrobe A-Team. The beauty of a sleeveless mock neck is that it can serve as a layering piece under a blazer or tucked into sharp pants or skirts. The possibilities are truly endless. I strongly, and I cannot stress this enough, suggest that you stock up before they rotate this timeless piece out.
This particular outfit needed more than a crew-neck and so I’ve paired my mockneck with this hot pink Zara vest, black pencil pants, and for another unexpected pop of pattern, added these Sam Edleman snake sandals. (similar option here)
