There’s something so aesthetically pleasing when two colors come together and make a great outfit. That said, it can take time to put together two patterns or differing colors at 6 AM when you’re half asleep which can present problems of its’ own. (Insert “Did you get dressed in the dark?” comment here)
But what I’ve discovered after years of trial and error (lookin’ at you sixth grade) is that a bright color and an abstract print always work. It might be a little out of your comfort box at first but I guarantee a pop of color makes a statement and brightens up the whole office.
Normally, I’m apt to keep loud patterns OOO but for this look, I made an exception.
I’ve paired this black and blue cheetah print blouse with a hot pink, scalloped skirt. This is not my normal look but in the spring and summer time, I try to incorporate more color into my rotation.
*I would also like to point out the fact that I am wearing a pink skirt on a Wednesday and I wasn’t even trying to be fetch.
My go-to black summer sandals are the Nanette Lepore bow heels. They’re a low heel that feature the all important ankle strap. I could honestly run a mile in them. While these exact shoes are not available anymore, I’ve linked a few options here and here.
I also use this cross-body bag like it’s going out of style. I usually stash it in my big work bag and pop it out for lunches or post-work drinks. The original bag was from Target but I’ve link similar options here and here.
